1 in 5 Parents of Children Under 5 Intend to Get Them a COVID-19 Vaccine Right Away Once Eligible

About a fifth (18%) of parents with children under age 5 say they intend to get their child vaccinated “right away” once federal regulators authorize its use for their child’s age group, the latest KFF COVID-19 Vaccine Monitor survey shows. Another 38% say they would want to “wait and see” how it works for other young children before getting their child vaccinated. …

As COVID-19 cases have begun to rise nationally in recent weeks, a little more than a third (35%) of adults think there is a new wave of COVID-19 infections hitting the country. Most say either that there is not a new wave (50%) or that they aren’t sure if there is (14%). People’s perceptions on this question seem to reflect their view of what is happening among their own family and friends. CONTINUED

How Americans reacted when they learned the Supreme Court intends to overturn Roe v. Wade

On Monday evening, news outlets reported that a leaked draft of a Supreme Court decision indicates that the Court has voted to overturn Roe v. Wade, the 1973 landmark decision which established a constitutional right to abortion. The next morning, YouGov fielded a poll asking Americans their reactions to this news. Nine in 10 said they’d heard about the leak, and many reported feeling outraged and saddened by the news; a far smaller share said they felt happy or even thrilled. CONTINUED

Fox News Poll: Majority says Musk buying Twitter is #notabigdeal

Elon Musk’s $44 billion takeover of Twitter is not a big deal to a majority of American voters, according to a new Fox News national poll released Wednesday.

The survey finds that Musk buying the tech giant doesn’t matter to 62% of registered voters, including 43% who say it doesn’t matter at all. …
