And yet, his shadow continues to linger over all things 2021 and 2022. He remains the biggest fundraising force on the GOP side, hoarding more than $100M in his campaign bank account. And, while his endorsements aren’t bulletproof, they remain a prized asset in a GOP primary. However, many Republicans worry that his continued attacks on voting integrity could depress base turnout next fall.
