Indiana may not be hosting presidential debates or being wooed by the countless candidates, but some Hoosier voters recently got to make their voices heard in another way.
A dozen Republican primary voters were probed about their views on the 2016 race in a focus group conducted Oct. 20 in Indianapolis for the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania. The views of the participants have been quoted by networks and national newspapers, including USA TODAY, mostly to help explain why outsider candidates like Donald Trump and Ben Carson are so popular.
