Consumer Comfort Hovered Last Week Near Seven-Month Low

Consumer confidence in the U.S. held close to a seven-month low last week as Americans’ view of the buying climate fell to the lowest level of the year.

The Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index was little changed at minus 47.3 in the period ended Aug. 26, from the prior week’s minus 47.4 reading that was the weakest since mid-January. [cont.]
