It’s been a busy couple of weeks for the marquee Republican issues: Trump and abortion. Former President Trump has been indicted, a liberal justice who ran largely on preserving abortion rights won by 11 points in Wisconsin’s Supreme Court election, and federal court judges have issued opposing rulings on mifepristone, a drug used in the two-pill medication-abortion sequence. Some on the Right have started ringing alarm bells.
Sorting out which is more of a drag—important if Republicans want to actually win an election in 2024, since they may or may not be able to dump Trump—is an impossible task. CONTINUED
