One quarter of Americans believe the country is heading in the right direction

This week’s Core Political survey finds a majority of Americans say the country is headed in the wrong direction. The concern that is most top of mind for Americans is the economy, followed public health and illness. President Joe Biden’s approval rating remains stable.

Just 27% of Americans say the country is headed in the right direction and nearly three in five say the country is off on the wrong track (58%). About half of Democrats are optimistic about the direction of the country (48%), while just 13% of Republicans and independents feel the same way. CONTINUED
