President Biden’s job approval rating fell to earth over the past month, amid a tumultuous exit from Afghanistan, Covid resurgence and rising household financial stress, the September IBD/TIPP Poll finds. IBD/TIPP’s Biden job approval level tumbled to 50.7 — the share of adults who approve as a percentage of those who offer a firm opinion — from 60.6 in early August. …

Biden’s approval rating on his handling of the economy is now underwater, with 41% disapproval and 37% approval. That’s a sharp reversal from August, when Americans approved of his economic stewardship, 48%-30%. Just 25% of independents approve of his economic stewardship vs. 47% who disapprove. CONTINUED
