For the first time in Dianne Feinstein’s long twenty-nine-year tenure, more Californians offer a negative than positive appraisal of the job she is doing in the U.S. Senate. The latest Berkeley IGS Poll finds that 45% of the state’s registered voters disapprove of Feinstein’s job performance overall, while just 35% approve and 20% no opinion, a reversal from three years ago when 48% of Californians approved and 37% disapproved. …
The poll offers the first glimpse of how voters are viewing California’s newest U.S. Senator, Alex Padilla, who was appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom to fill out the term of vacated by Vice President Kamala Harris.
