Americans Plan to Do More Shopping Online than in Person this Holiday Season

For the first time, more Americans say they will do most of their holiday shopping online than in person this year. Just 33% of Americans plan to do most of their holiday shopping by going to stores in person, down from a 53% majority in 2018 (when CBS News last asked the question), and 69% in 2011. Nearly half – 46% – will do most of their holiday shopping online, and another 14% say it will be an even mix. CONTINUED
