Among Democratic voters who said they watched or followed news coverage of the Democratic presidential debates, a large plurality (41%) thought Kamala Harris did the best job, according to a June 28-30 national CNN Poll conducted by SSRS. Elizabeth Warren’s debate performance was seen as best by 13%; 10% said Joe Biden did the best job.
When Democrats were asked their preference for a presidential nominee, Harris and Warren both picked up support, compared to a CNN Poll conducted one month ago. Biden saw his lead shrink significantly. In the new poll, Biden is at 22%, Harris 17%, Warren 15%, and Bernie Sanders 14%. At the end of May, Biden led with 32%, and Sanders was second with 18%; no other candidate was in double digits.
