40% of Americans Tuning Out World Cup

The U.S. soccer team has defied expectations in advancing to the World Cup’s knockout rounds, but it still has a long way to go to captivate the full attention of the American public.

A Wall Street Journal/NBC News/Annenberg poll found 40% of Americans care “not at all” about the World Cup and only 22% measured their interest at a “great deal” or “quite a bit.” CONT.
