Partisan Gap on Environment Widens After Trump’s Election

Republicans’ ratings of the overall quality of the environment in the U.S. have shifted since President Donald Trump’s election. Sixty-four percent of Republicans say the quality of the environment is “excellent” or “good,” up from a record-low 53% in 2016. More than one in three Democrats (37%) rate the environment this positively, similar to the 40% recorded a year ago when President Barack Obama was in office. CONT.
