When teen diets give parents indigestion

For some Americans, dieting has shifted from a general approach, such as counting calories or reducing portion size, to a greater interest in special diets that include or prohibit certain types of foods. Although teens are known to experiment with special diets, little is known about how parents respond to this situation. In October 2016, the C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital asked a national sample of parents about their experiences with teens age 13-18 trying gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, and/or paleo diets. CONT.
