Americans’ Perceptions of U.S. Crime Problem Are Steady

Seven in 10 Americans say there is more crime in the U.S. than a year ago, unchanged from 2015. Two in 10 believe there is less crime. The percentage who believe crime is up from a year ago is near the recent high of 74% in 2009, but still significantly below the record high of 89% in 1992. CONT.
