Shutdown Severely Damaging Republican Party

A just-completed national survey from Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research confirms that the voting public is fed up with just about everyone in Washington, but Republicans are clearly bearing much more of the anger and it is damaging their prospects for 2014.

By a 16-point margin, 43 to 27 percent, voters blame the Republicans in Congress, rather than President Obama and the Democrats, for the government shutdown. However, a quarter of the electorate insists that both parties are to blame despite the fact this choice was not offered in the survey. [cont. – PDF]
