The inaugural results of a new Gallup question — posed to more than 120,000 U.S. adults thus far — shows that 3.4% say “yes” when asked if they identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender.
These results are based on responses to the question, “Do you, personally, identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender?” included in 121,290 Gallup Daily tracking interviews conducted between June 1 and Sept. 30, 2012. [cont.]
Gary J. Gates & Frank Newport, Gallup
As of late in the race for president, Gallup has been displaying a polling bias that gives Mitt Romney a growing lead. This, as usual, is what Gallup has been doing for the last two elections. They seem to show Republicans in the lead, even when everyone else does not have them ahead. Gallup seems to be trying to create a narrative that says Biden lost his debate, and Romney lead continues to grow. Now, since the second debate, they quickly increased Romney’s lead to 6 points. Give me a break; Gallup needs to stop trying to dominate the polling averages with their rolling average tracking poll that distorts the present and future polling picture.
