Results of the October recontacts show that the presidential race has moved slightly in Republican nominee Mitt Romney’s favor since September, but that President Barack Obama remains better positioned to win the election.

Bigger shifts between September and October are evident in the many competitive U.S. Senate races throughout the country, as well as in the few governor’s races that are being contested this year. [cont.]
